Avivit Bar-Yosef

Avivit Bar-Yosef is a filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. After graduating with a BA in Film Studies from The American University of Paris, she moved to New York where she has freelanced extensively in the independent film industry. Among other credits, she was the Production Coordinator for Eliza Hittman’s Sundance hit Beach Rats, Production Manager on the film Who We Are Now starring Julianne Nicholson, and a Co-Producer on indie Giants Being Lonely which premiered at the Venice Film Festival. In addition to her work in production, she served as the Office Manager for Darren Aronofsky’s Protozoa Pictures for over four years. She has written, directed and produced five short films that have played at festivals in New York and abroad.

Her vast experience across filmmaking and production gives her a well-rounded perspective as an Editor. She brings a strong understanding of story and character, as well as an attention to detail and collaborative spirit to her work as an Editor and Assistant Editor. A graduate of the Six-Week Intensive at Manhattan Edit Workshop, she is fluent in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Avid Media Composer.
